Me: I want to start a *mom blog* and I’ll post twice a week and I’ll have relevant and helpful content and links to stuff we like at our house and it’ll be great!
Also Me: doesn’t post anything in three weeks but has a backlog of posts in my “drafts”
This right here is probably why it took me so long to even start a blog in the first place – I was worried I wouldn’t keep up with it or have the consistency I know I would want to have. The fear of not being great or consistent or *insert any other adjective here* is such a common theme of why we hold ourselves back from trying all kinds of new things! I also think I’ve been fooling myself a bit with unrealistic expectations on when and how much I can actually do!
So, here’s what’s been going on since I talked to you back in March…It was mine and Jon’s 5th wedding anniversary and Easter, Layla has been playing soccer and continuing potty training, and we celebrated Jon’s 30th birthday with a family weekend (even though his actual birthday turned out to be a very “Monday” feeling Monday). Sophia is about to hit a milestone 6 months, and I’m hitting some postpartum milestones myself. My village continues to show up for me near and far for the good, the bad, and the crazy. I helped put together a super fun fundraiser for my work and also represented Girls on the Run Piedmont at the Women’s LIFT leadership to provide networking and learning opportunities for professional women in the community. And that about catches us up!
I’m emptying a few articles from my backlog and have linked them below, and next week hope to get back to semi-regular posting and I’ll start with some fun details from Jon’s birthday and our anniversary!
